Testimonial from woman with lower back pain
Dear Alison,
I can’t thank you enough for what your incredible practise of the Feldenkrais method has done for me. I have had chronic lower back pain for over 5 years which has completely hindered my ability to do normal things like lifting, running and even sitting for long periods of time. I have tried many different therapies and have had no success. However, after only two sessions with you my back has been completely transformed. I would have never thought it possible but my pain has almost completely subsided and I am able to do almost any physical activity without limitation. It all felt very hopeless before coming to you. Honestly, it is like a miracle has occurred and I would highly recommend you to anyone in need of any physical therapy. Thank you so much.

Testimonial from mother of a child with Hemiplegia
Alison saw my son Leon for around 7 months, who has hemiplegia and I’ve been really happy with his progress. After the first visit, he rolled from back to his tummy for the first time and has since had a greater awareness of how his body works together. He now confidently commando crawls and is learning to shift from his elbows to his hands and from his belly to his knees which will help him transition to rocking and then crawling on hands and knees. I really enjoyed her intuitive method of teaching and she emphasises play and fun and learning to listen to what the child wants first. Alison also gives lots practical play ideas to continue at home, which has been very helpful.

Testimonial from adult suffering from physical tension
I had a series of Feldenkrais treatments from Alison in recent months and found the results extremely worthwhile. Alison directed me through a series of graded movements – usually subtle, the coordination sometimes challenging. I felt very comfortable with Alison who has a gentle manner and great sense of humour. I experienced a profound and healing relaxation which I have never experienced during any other type of treatment. There was an ease of movement afterwards that was especially noticeable when I went to regular dancing classes later in the day.

Testimonial from mother of one and a half year old child with Cerebellar Hypoplasia
If I could only choose one therapy for my disabled child, it would be Feldenkrais. It is a gentle subtle movement that works really well for my daughter. She feels comfortable and happy and makes the most progress I’ve seen during and after her sessions.

Testimonial from adult with back pain the day after a session with Alison
Hi Alison,
When I woke up this morning my back was greatly released and my tummy as well, you have magic hands. Thank you for your gentle care when I was in such a vulnerable place.

Testimonial from mother of three year old child with Cerebellar Hypoplasia
Since Jack has been seeing Alison we have seen steady progress in his movement, balance and co-ordination. Often after a session we will see him move his body in completely new ways and he’ll sit differently or use his hands in new ways. His physio is always amazed at how natural his movement is and he is improving so rapidly now. We can see a future where Jack is walking without assistance and I think Feldenkrais has significantly contributed to this possibility. Thanks Alison!

Testimonial from adult with acute lower back pain
I received Feldenkrais therapy from Alison. I had really damaged my back by lifting something the wrong way. I could hardly move. I found Alison to be so professional and was amazed by the intuitive ways she mended my back to make me feel so much better. I thought this was impossible, my pain subsided a lot. Thank you Alison and I highly recommend your therapy to anyone.

Testimonial from mother of child with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy
Since starting Feldenkrais, Benjamen seems more alert and awake. Compared to a few months ago, he is smiling a lot more and trying to move more. His jaw is more open. He is showing attempts to toll to one side. It is like he has realised he can move himself.

Testimonial from mother of child with brain injury
My daughter suffered a traumatic brain injury when she was 15 months old and due to this she suffers from dystonia and spasticity especially in her legs. For the past 2 and half years we have tried regular physiotherapy and occupational therapy. She was making gains and started sitting and crawling but we couldn’t do much about the tightness in her legs even with the Botox. This made it difficult for her to extend her legs and therefore she is not able to move on to standing and walking.
We decided to try Feldenkrais after good reviews from others about this method. Seher has been going to Alison for the past 5 months and we can see a change in her tone and due to this we have cancelled her Botox injections. Separation of legs is also coming in along and she is also experimenting with lots of new movements. All of her previous learnings are also improving, so when she was sitting there was a curve in the spine to the left, that is disappearing and with her crawling, she would not use her left leg properly, now she is crawling properly, so everything seems to be fine tuning. Her preschool teachers also reported that she was interacting more with her peers and had improved eye contact. We are very happy with all these changes and are excited about what more is to come.
